Meet Gerald T. Gowitt, MD

Dr. Gowitt is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forensic Medicine Associates, Inc. In his 40 years of practice, he has performed approximately 14,000 autopsies, been involved in more than 60,000 death investigations and been qualified as an expert witness in the field of forensic medicine and pathology over 750 times in Georgia as well as 21 other states. Dr. Gowitt is currently the Chief Medical Examiner for Dekalb County and serves as a consulting medical examiner for several other metropolitan Atlanta counties.
