Forensic Medicine Associates, Inc. is a multidisciplinary forensic medicine organization located in Decatur, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.
Our forensic pathologists, pathologists’ assistants, forensic technicians, laboratory personnel, and administrative professionals work together to conduct thorough, objective, and scientifically sound death investigations.
Every member of our team plays an important role in serving families, supporting public agencies, advancing forensic science, and helping provide answers during difficult circumstances.
FMA operates at the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office and provides private autopsy services throughout Georgia.

Our office has maintained accreditation through the National Association of Medical Examiners since 2014.
ACGME Accredited
Our forensic pathology fellowship program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education since 2025.
Toxicology Resources
Toxicology services are provided through NMS Labs and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation State Crime Laboratory.
Histology Services
Histology services are provided by Chestatee Pathology Associates, P.C.
Case Management Technology
Our office uses the MDI Log case-management system to support case documentation and medicolegal death investigation workflows.
